Organisation History
Wagga Wagga Rescue Squad Incorporated was established on 31 December 1949, making it one of the longest-serving volunteer rescue organisations in the Riverina region. What began as a small group of community-minded individuals has grown into a comprehensive emergency rescue service.
Operating as Wagga Rapid Rescue, our organisation has continually adapted to meet the evolving emergency response needs of our community. From our early days responding to local emergencies, we have expanded our capabilities to provide professional disaster response services across New South Wales.
